Similar to other texts, procedure text have several characteristics, including:
- Using imperative sentences;
- There are guidelines to be followed;
- Using active verbs;
- Using conjunctions (connective words);
- There are rules in terms of materials or activities;
- Using adverbs to express details of time, place and manner;
- There are contents of activities carried out in sequence.
Linguistic Elements
- Grammar: imperative, negative and positive entences
- Phrases and vocabulary commonly used in manuals and tips
- Singular and plural nouns with or without a, the, this, those, my, their, etc.
- Speech, stress, intonation, spelling, sign reading and handwriting.

A quick and easy cheese cake recipe Yield : 6 servings Prep. Time :5 minutes Cook Time : 40 minutes Total Time : 45 minutes
